Program Pillar 03

⚙️ Skills & Employability

Creating structured pathways from informal to formal labour markets — through workforce readiness training, career guidance, and youth employment initiatives.

Focus Areas

What we do in this pillar

Workforce Readiness

Functional skills training — digital literacy, communication, workplace rights, and sector-specific technical skills — that prepare workers for formal employment.

Career Pathways

Structured guidance on career options, sector mapping, and employer linkages — helping workers make informed choices about their economic futures.

Youth Employment

Targeted programs for young people from migrant households — bridging the gap between education and economic participation through mentorship, apprenticeships, and placement support.

Our Approach

How we design skilling programs

Demand-Led Design
We work with employers and industry bodies to design training that reflects actual skill gaps — not curricula built around available trainers.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Migrant workers arrive with significant informal skills. We support RPL processes that formalise what people already know, reducing time-to-employment.
Gender-Responsive
Our skilling programs actively address the barriers women face — through flexible timing, childcare support, and sector choices that offer economic independence.
Placement Support
Training is only valuable if it leads to work. We maintain employer networks and provide post-placement follow-up to ensure retention and progression.
