Program Pillar 01

🧳 Migrant Workers

Supporting migrant workers through safe migration, wellbeing services, financial inclusion, and access to the government schemes they are entitled to.

Focus Areas

What we do in this pillar

Safe Migration

Ensuring workers have access to accurate information about their rights, recruitment processes, destination conditions, and legal protections before they move.

Worker Wellbeing

Addressing physical, psychological, and social wellbeing of workers at source, in-transit, and at destination — including health access and psychosocial support.

Financial Inclusion

Linking migrant workers to banking services, remittance support, savings products, and financial literacy — reducing exploitation at every stage.

Access to Schemes

Helping workers access government entitlements — ESIC, PF, ration cards, housing schemes — that they are legally due but systematically excluded from.

Our Approach

How we work

Information & Awareness
We develop and disseminate multilingual, accessible content about worker rights, safe migration corridors, and government entitlements — through community networks, digital platforms, and partner organisations.
Direct Support Services
In partnership with frontline NGOs, we support helplines, grievance redress mechanisms, and worker resource centres at key source and destination points.
Systems Advocacy
We engage with labour departments, BOCW boards, and migration governance bodies to strengthen portability of entitlements and improve migrant worker registration systems.
Research & Monitoring
We document the experiences of workers on specific migration corridors to generate evidence that informs both our programs and broader policy advocacy.
